The Cement Industry has always been a major user of Bulk Handling Systems as bulk products are present in every step of the cement production process. AMECO machines are used worldwide in every phase of the process.
Cement is a binder used for construction that sets, hardens and adheres to other materials. Cement is seldom used on its own, but rather to bind sand and gravel (aggregate) together.
The cement industry is the building block of the construction industry. Few construction projects can take place without utilizing cement somewhere in the design.
Manufacturing cement requires the following steps:
- Crushing and storing raw materials such as limestone, clay, sand, shale, fly ash and bauxite
- Blending and milling the crushed materials to produce raw meal
- Burning the raw meal to produce clinker
- Grinding the clinker with gypsum to produce the final product cement

The guarantee of continuous cement production
Large volumes of the raw materials, additives and fuel are stored with the help of our stacker/reclaimer systems. This guarantees the continuous production of cement, even when there are supply interruptions.

Blending beds
AMECO provides blending beds that are able to homogenize the fore mentioned products. Products of consistent quality increase the efficiency of the cement production process.
Storage and transportation by sea
Finally, AMECO’s stacker/reclaimer systems enable the storage of the intermediate product clinker and the final product cement. When the plant is located near a port, our shiploaders can load these materials – in bulk and/or in bags – into ships for transportation by sea.
